COSTA BALLENA: NATURE, BEACHES AND GOLF
Nature

The existing nature in Costa Ballena; like parks, gardens and wooded
areas, have been well cared for with a sense of utmost respect. Costa
Ballena covers a total area of 4 million square meters divided into parts.
The largest constitutes 65% of the total area and consists of green zones,
lakes and 25,000 m2 of children’s playground. In addition, 16 million
litres of recycled water are stored in Costa Ballena lakes, which avoids
the spill of residual water to the sea.

Beaches

The virgin beach is 4 kilometres long of Costa Ballena’s white
sands surrounded by dunes, small cliffs and native bushed that protect the
beach from erosion and damage. Such marvellous environments as well as the
pleasant warm winters make this area unique to sun worshippers, walkers and
to those who wish to practice all types of aquatic nautical sports.

Golf

The 27-holes golf course, designed by Jose María Olazábal, plus 9 hole
of par 3 amateur golf course, its driving range, (one of greatest in
Europe), putting green and chipping green as well as its additional
facilities, such as a gymnasium and restaurant, make this golf course of
Costa Ballena one of both professional and amateur, favourites for
practising during the winter.
